The Triptych of Malice

The Triptych of Malice is a composition of three acrylic paintings. It was born in 2022 and the total size is 108’ x 72’ inches. The whole piece is about an ancestral journey through the deepest emotions that run our mind, the resistances that prevent us from cooperating with others and the difficult path to open ourselves towards collaboration and sharing.

Masks - Giulia Salza

Acrylic on Canvas, 2023, Italy/USA
Size 24” x 36”

“Masks” is a vibrant exploration of the societal burdens women shoulder. It delves into the pressures to conform to aesthetic standards, to be perfect, nurturing mothers, and inherently good-natured. Often, these expectations force women to hide behind a mask, rendering their true selves invisible.

The Madonna of the Ducks

Acrylic on Canvas, 2021, Italy/USA
Size 30” x 46”

“The Madonna of the Ducks” is a colorful painting that explores the essence of motherhood beyond its biological roots. It illustrates the idea that nurturing, love, and welcoming others embody the true spirit of motherhood. Every creature has the capacity to mother, and our world needs that kind of care and compassion from all of us.

Be Brave by Giulia Salza

Acrylic on Canvas, 2023, Italy/USA
Size 36” x 48”

The subject is a snap-shot of a creepy, whirling dance, inspired by the “Dance Macabre” iconography. Demons, fantastic creatures, animals and humans run and dance together representing the eternal cycle of Life and Death in its beauty, energy and dread. But the painting also refers to another kind of race: the one that we all run against ourselves. Inside all of us there is light and dark and it takes an immense courage to face them.
